Lucid Bots Inc. is an AI robotics company that is committed to uplifting humanity by building the world's most productive and responsible robots that perform dangerous and demanding tasks for the exterior cleaning and construction industries. Headquartered in Charlotte, NC, we engineer, manufacture, and support our products domestically, including the Sherpa spraying and cleaning drone and the Lavo Bot robot. In July 2024, Lucid Bots acquired Avianna, an AI company that enables robots to understand human language and operate autonomously. This follows Lucid Bots’ mission to create smart, productive, and responsible robots integrated into daily life by incorporating voice command and chat so users can communicate with their Sherpa Drone and Lavo AI products making projects easier.

Lucid is a Y Combinator-backed company, with investments from Cubit Capital, Idea Fund Partners, Danu Ventures, and others private investors. Lucid Bots raised $9M in Series A funding in May and is a member of the NVIDIA Inception Program, designed to help startups evolve faster through cutting-edge technology, opportunities to connect with venture capitalists, and access to the latest technical resources.
In 2024, Lucid Bots made the Inc. 5000 list as the #1 fastest growing robotics manufacturer and #143 fastest growing companies. The company is also a North Carolina Fast 50 for the fastest-growing companies along with Next Venture Summit - Top 10 Start Up in the Carolinas and SXSW Lion's Den Best Financial Return Company. The company grew from 28 to 55 employees in 2024.
Identifying a Need. Filling a Gap.
Lucid Bots' journey started with the aspiration of establishing a thriving exterior cleaning business, recognizing the challenging, hazardous, and outdated nature of the industry. In 2018, Lucid Bots emerged with the aim to adapt off-the-shelf drones for exterior soft-washing.
However, after investing considerable time and resources, it became evident that the necessary drone didn't exist in the market. This realization led our founders to embark on the mission of creating a tailor-made solution from scratch, encompassing the right product and essential support for success.
Today we help professional contractors, building owners/property managers, universities, medical centers and countless customers make exterior cleaning easier, more efficient and safer for the end user. We are creating endless possibilities, empowering people with more productive robots.
